Fly to Tenerife from:

Tenerife (Tenerif) is the largest of the 7 islands that comprise the Canary Archipelago. It is of volcanic origin, and most of its volcanoes are still active; the highest one is the "Pico del Teide" that dominates Tenerife Island from a height of 3,718 meters. Tenerife amazes visitors for the incredible variety of its landscape and the quite mild weather, even in autumn and winter (average temperature 24°), thanks to which it enjoys a constant flow of tourists all year round. Defined as the island of eternal spring, it has two main tourist centres: on the north there is Puerto de la Cruz, for many years the tourism capital of the island, which today has been superseded by Playa de Las Americas, situated on the south coast of the island; it has expanded over the last few years and is packed with modern hotels taking advantage of the drier weather, if compared with Puerto. Santa Cruz, the capital city, is famous for its Carnival with parties, parades of allegorical floats, samba and dance schools all invades the streets and the squares. Besides the enviable climate, Tenerife offers many opportunities for those who are interested in nature, with different sites dedicated to the preservation of botany or fauna; we also recommend a trip to the nearby Island of "La Gomera" which, because of its uncontaminated natural beauties, has been named a universal heritage by U.N.E.S.C.O. If you wish to relax but also to play some sports during your holiday in Tenerife, it is possible to find all the solutions you could dream of: golf, riding, diving activities, deep-sea fishing, sailing and windsurf, tennis, on foot excursions, karting, paragliding and much more!
It is always Spring in the Canary Islands. The temperatures vary by only some 6 degrees C through the seasons. The monthly average is from 18 to 24C and the sea is beautifully warm all year round. Due to the geographical location, the island’s climate is subtropical. The water temperature varies between 22C in summer and 19C in winter. Many people like to spend the winter here due to the pleasant climate.
As with the other Canary Islands, Tenerife has managed to keep their status of lower import tax, VAT rates and duty free; so if you are looking to buy tobacco, wines, spirits, perfumes and maybe some electrical goods, look no further as they are much cheaper here than in other EU countries. But unlike other European Union Countries, there is a strict limit to the amount that you are allowed to export out of Gran Canaria into the UK and other EU countries.
