All Italian travellers going to Mauritius, must hold passports that are valid for at least six months beyond the proposed date of entry to the country.
Police authorities and immigration offices require to hold a return ticket to Italy (with any airline company) or an international connection ticket to another State (with any airline or navigation company).

Currency
The currency unit is the Rufya, which will be accepted only after showing the exchange receipt. Euros and US Dollars are widely accepted in shops and holiday resorts.
Language
Official language is the Dhivehi ; English and Arabic are fluently spoken.

Compulsory vaccinations are not required but it’s recommended to avoid long sun exposures.
